BINCI project will be present at Sónar+D from 13th to 15th June. Visitors will be able to learn about the binaural audio tools for the creative industries developed throughout the project and listen to 3D audio demonstrations carried out with BINCI’s integrated software and hardware solution by the group of BINCI beta-testers and excerpts from the experimental audio guides being showcased and tested simultaneously in three emblematic cultural sites.
BINCI’s participation at Sónar+D aims at disseminating the project results and connect and engage with key stakeholders. Sónar+D attendees will be able to find BINCI at Eurecat’s stand (MarketLab Hall 4, Level 2-3, Booth 8) together with Sfëar, the Eurecat’s 3D audio tools brand. The MarketLab is the central nerve of Sónar+D, a space where the creators of the year’s most outstanding technology initiatives present the projects that they have developed in creative labs, media labs, universities and companies.
The project will also participate at the workshop “Producing 3D audio for immersive environments”, which takes place on Thursday 14 from 18.00 to 20.00. During the already fully-booked workshop, participants will learn how to produce audio for immersive experiences with Sfëar’s team.
Sónar+D is an international congress that explores how creativity is changing our present and imagining new futures, in collaboration with researchers, innovators and business leaders. Sónar+D takes place every June along with Sónar, Barcelona’s pioneering festival of advanced music created by Advanced Music, recognized since 1994 as one of the most important events for experimental culture in Europe. It extends Sónar’s important role detecting emerging artists and languages into the space of creative and technological innovation. Sónar+D puts the R+D into Sónar.
