Barcelona, 7th July, 2017 – The BINCI consortium gathered together for second time for its second meeting after the project’s kick-off in January. The meeting, hosted by the project’s coordinator partner Eurecat, took place in Barcelona on July 4thand 5th.
The meeting aimed at in reviewing the work done during the first six months of the project in the work in the framework of the different work packages, and plan and prepare upcoming milestones and tasks.
This first six months have been busy in collecting requirements, defining specifications and start designing the BINCI solution, developing use cases and planning demonstrations as well as in dissemination and establishing the rules for managing the data used and generated in the project.
During the meeting partners reviewed the BINCI stakeholders requirements gathered after the first consultation with the current BINCI User-Group, and discussed the main findings on current immersive audio workflows and artists’ interests. There were also presented the initial system specification and functionalities derived from that requirements, which will constitute the base for the development of the BINCI tools.
BINCI use cases and demonstrations were presented and discussed, and next actions were defined to continue engaging more audio producers in BINCI user group and to advance in the production of the experimental productions to be showcased in Fundació Miró, Opera Garnier and Alte Pinakothek.
Partners also reviewed the advances in the different developments of the elements composing the BINCI solution and discussed the dissemination and communication plan.
